Schools out for Summer...Schools out FOREVER!

Way to go Paul!

It has been a crazy, fun, exciting wild ride these last two years. We have been through a lot. Just writing this my mind floods with thoughts (I won't lie, they're both good and bad) of all the things we've been through in the last two years. To name a few...

1. We sold our first home (that we built)

2. Brought our 3rd baby into the world

3.made some life long friends

4. Spent the summer apart during your internship.

5. Eaten at some amazing restaurants

6. Listened to lots of live music.

7. You spent hundreds of hours on homework.

8. I ran a marathon in Ft. Worth

9. We became huge UT fans, and own our fair share of burnt orange.

10. You bought me my first pair of cowboy boots

11. We had an amazing 2nd honeymoon in San Francisco

12. You had several all nighters studying

13. I had several all nighters alone with a screaming, colicy baby (who's now an angel)

14. We started recycling religiously

15. Drove thousands of miles for family visits

16. I watched your confidence jump by leaps and bounds

17. We've gone camping, to the beach, kayaking, hiking

18. Realized again and again how much we need each other

19. Baptized our oldest child

20.Went to dozens of Grants basketball, baseball and football games

21. We've moved 3x, soon to be 4 (don't ask)

22.You totalled your car

23. We bought two new cars

24. Fallen madly in love with Austin ,TX

25. You graduated with an MBA from UT!!

We did it! You have graduated, and I am so proud. I got teary eyed watching you walk with your cap and gown, this accomplishment symbolized so many things to me. All this hard work and sacrifice has paid off. It was all really and truly worth it. We have learned by trial and error, the first year was pretty brutal, but we made up for it the second year. It's like you always say, "no risk, no reward", and here we are moving up in the world. I am constantly amazed by your ability to do well in school (3.8 gpa this semester folks) and be a good Daddy and Husband to your needy family at home. I know you will do amazing things Paul, you are destined to be great. I love you with all my heart. I can't wait to see what adventures await us in Ft. Worth.

Stronger than ever, there's nothing we can't handle!

Such a cute Dad!

Goodbye Austin & UT, we'll miss you!

Port Aransas

That's right, we went to the beach! Paul finished his last day of school and we waisted no time to part-ay! We drove with our friends the Guymons to Port Aransas, near Corpus Christi on the Gulf of Mexico. It's just a few hours in the car and you're there. We spent two days just hanging out on the beach. The weather was in the 90's , the water was a perfect temperature and the kids were happy just digging away in the sand. Ahh...vacations are so nice, and we needed one bad! I forgot my camera (I hate when I do that) so Ashley took a few pics for me, thanks Ash!

We rented a boogie board and a couple of long boards and took turns catching some waves! Little G spent hours on this thing.

We were told that we had to try this restaurant called the Raging Cajun. They just plop this big bucket of corn, potatoes, craw fish ('crawdads' to you Californians), crab and shrimp, give you a wooden mallet and let you go to town. I think my favorite part was this guy who stood outside the restaurant playing his trumpet. He wasn't really playing music, just making noise. The restaurant owners don't pay him (obviously) but are nice enough to let him hang out and jam on his trumpet every night. Paul gave him a tip when we left.

Paul with his long board (you can't see it) getting ready for some surfing. It was his first time, and honestly, I think he did pretty well. The waves weren't the best for surfing so he would catch a wave and ride it for like 2 seconds before falling off. It looked exhausting. I gave it a try and got up a few times myself. I think we all agree that Steve is the master surfer.

Eliza, Kalli and Z had a good time getting sand on their scalps and inside their diapers and swimsuits.

We can't wait to go back and are planning another trip.

Guymons...you in?
