The biggest advice I would give anyone thinking about training for a marathon would be to get a buddy. I could not have done this without my incredible running partner and now dear friend, Ashley. It would have been impossible to get up at 5:00am and run in the dark in 30 degree temperatures alone. We had so much fun together, talking pretty much every minute of every mile and high fives after every run! I couldn't ask for a better running buddy. One of the best things we did was to put our nick names on the back of our shirts. It was always such a boost when someone would yell out, "Go Glow, Go Smash!" I would highly recommend that to anyone entering any race!

We made it into the Austin Statesman Newspaper! It captured the moment perfectly. Just go to the link below and check us out, we are the 6th picture.

I had so much fun running with you!! Thank you for letting me train with you, and I can't believe I told you I wasn't going to do it. This has been one of the greatest accomplishments of my life and I am so glad we could do that together!!
