Life with Eliza--never boring!

It's true, from the time Eliza was a few weeks old and smiling at anyone who looked at her, we knew life with Eliza would never be boring. I thought it would be fun (mostly for me) to share some fun facts about our eternally optimistic girl. Anyone who has been to my house knows that she loves to draw pictures of princesses and princes and hang them through out the house. She loves to help me pick out my clothes each day usually picking out my highest high heels and most flashy skirt, some day's I indulge her by letting her pick each piece to my outfit that day. She does her own hair and even can do pony tails. She's extremely independent and insists on doing everything herself, from getting dressed, doing hair, and getting herself and sometimes Zach breakfast. The glass is always half full for Eliza and I am always inspired by her carefree, happy go lucky disposition. Here are a few fun pictures, and little glimpses of what life is like with our Eliza Lu-Lu.

She is Zachary's best friend. They play all day and she is constantly thinking up fun ways for them to play. She recently created her first fort, I know it looks more like an explosion of blankets, but she and Zach played in it all day. She even slept in her fort that night. Trying to get her to help me clean it up is another story.

She loves to dress up, and that's an understatement. She not only loves her plethora of dress up dresses, but she loves to create the most random outfits. The picture here is her dog costume made of trash sacks. All on her own she cut out ears and taped them to her head, paws for her hands and feet and even a tail she taped to her bum. She spent the afternoon pretending to be a dog and had a bowl of water and food in her little make shift dog house she created in her room. After I took the picture she added black spots and put make-up on her face for whiskers and a brown nose. Other creations have included, a gecko, again used trash sacks that she colored green with a marker. A Trash lady, you guessed it...she used trash sacks to make a skirt, shirt, and hat, and even made a matching outfit for her baby doll. She was upset with me when I wouldn't let her make the exact outfit for Zach. Hmmm, Plastic bags and toddlers, not a good mix. Most recently she was Rudolph, she cut out antlers, a nose and ears out of construction paper, colored them, taped them to her head and face and wore them all day.

She can't resist picking wild flowers, and anytime she sees any flowers anywhere she gathers a bouquet for me. We can be in a parking lot and she'll find some weeds in the cracks of the asphalt with the smallest flowers on them and pick a bundle for me. So, needless to say I ALWAYS have a few cups of flowers on the table, the kitchen counter, or in the bathroom with flowers...courtesy of Eliza. I wish I could freeze this stage. How lucky I am to be Eliza's Mother.

I miss little Eliza. She is always sooooooooo FUN! In a lot of ways she reminds me of Bella. Orion loves Bell I'm sure like Zackers loves lu. but It's kind of sad because jarom really loves O but O would way rather be with bella and sometimes he cry's if she doesn't want to play with him. I'm so glad that you posted these pictures of Eliza lu. Bella just told me today that she wanted to go see her. And Yesterday Jarom got his hair cut and Bella really wanted hers cut too. She kept saying she wanted to be like Eliza. So I'm glad to see that lu's hair has grown. Don't think I'm a bad mom or anything. I would totally cut it, but I know how much she really does love it. I think she would cry if she really did get it cut. So lets pick some dates and make a plan for us to crash your place. Maybe I could talk matt into going there instead of Seattle. The would be the best!xo

If only we all could be entertained by plastic bags- wouldn't life be grand? I am so glad that Liza has a perfect day everyday- because she makes it that way. I must say I love how free-spirited she is.

p.s. Love the music! I must say, my computer is typically on mute, but it wasn't today, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

She is adorable. I love how creative she is. How funny about the fort. My sister and brothers would make one almost every day, it was our most favorite thing to do. I actually made a fort of blankets for McKinley yesterday. She absolutely adored it, thought it was the best thing in the world. I love how innocent our little ones are.

What a sweet tribute to your only daughter! Eliza is certainly a character, I would take that any day over a cookie cutter kid. I love when she and Rowan play, Rowan just loves to go along with whatever great ideas Eliza comes up with.
